THANK-YOU EVERYONE

Hi everyone,
This message copied from copied from johnandloribeitz@gmail.

I wanted to send out this message to update anyone that might not be following Erin's website and I will also post this to the guest book and blog to try to reach as many people as I can. Please feel free to share this with anyone that may you feel may be interested and please share Erin's website address with anyone that might want to keep up on Erin's progress or post a message. The website is www.erinbeitz.com.

Erin has been in the hospital now for 13 days and it does not look like we will be out for at least a couple more days. Erin has been having a very severe reaction to one of the chemo drugs and that is why we are still here. She has received multiple blood transfusions and platelets as well and her white blood cell count bottomed out on Thursday and she has be battling fevers since then. She has been on constant antibiotics to ward off infection and so far that is working. Erin is supposed to start her next round of chemo on Friday but that may be delayed if she does not recover enough by then, she is also scheduled for an MRI this week to check her progress and we will let you all know when we get the results.

I want to mention the fundraisers that were held this week and the tremendous turnout that each one had. Nadine Vandewalker organized the Pampered Chef party on Thursday and from what I hear it was a huge success. We want to thank everyone that was involved with the planning/set-up and running of the event and of course all of the people that purchased items either at the event or on line. The second event was the dodge ball tournament that was organized by Chris VanMeter and held at Heidi Hazens softball facility, where Erin used to train. This event was also a huge success and thanks to all of the people involved with the event and all of the participants. I was able to attend the dodge ball tourn. for a little while and it overwhelming to see all of the people that came out to support Erin and our family and Lori was able to go to the show on Thursday and said the same thing.

One thing we would like to stress is that while we very much appreciate all of the fundraising that is going on and all of the gifts, money or otherwise that we have received the most important thing is all of the thoughts and prayers that are being said for Erin's recovery. The money raised will all go to Erin's care now and in the future but the thoughts and prayers and good wishes from all of you and from people we don't even know are what is going to heal Erin. I could see it at the dodge ball and I am certain that it was there at the Pampered Chef as well, that while the intent of the events is to raise money, that is secondary to the real reason that people come out and that is to support Erin. The love that I felt in the room for Erin was amazing and that is what will carry us and Erin through all of this long after these events are over. Once again I want to thank everyone involved with the success of both of these events and all of the participants.

LOVE AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU

John and Lori
